American born and raised in the midwest. From a very young age I became fascinated by how things were made. Since about the age of 4 I taught myself architectural philosophy and design. Throughout my youth I familiarized myself with architecture and interior design through open houses, home shows, 3d programs, and various forms of media. Designing homes and the housing developments maps, eventually Studied Architectural Concept and Design at a vocational high school. Here I had the opportunity to design and manage a home constructed and eventually auctioned off with my professor. After graduating I entered the BFA program at Parsons the New School for Design, where I was really able to explore a deeper meaning to concept and design in various fields. Although my major was Architecture I became more interested in creating things I myself could craft. I eventually fell in love with the intimacy and closeness one feels toward the things they wear. Thus my love of handbag design was born. I graduated with my BFA in Architecture and with self taught knowledge internships at Giorgio Armani and Rebecca Minkoff I moved seamlessly into the handbag and leather goods industry.
"Designing for me is very personal, I design all my products with the mindset of creating a sculpture. Each silhouette, color, hardware, stitch placement, interior, and small details are carefully thought out, crafted, and loved."
